Make the Most of Your Summer Vacation

Cure your child's summer boredom with our martial arts summer camp! At Legacy TaeKwonDo of Northern Kentucky, We make sure children have an adventurous and exciting summer.

We kick off the summer with a White Belt summer camp for students to build a foundation of basic skills. After that, we offer a wide range of special topics camps for children to learn and have fun at the same time. Some of our most popular camps have been weapons camp, movie stunt camp, and competition camp.

Activities That Are Planned for Your Summer

In addition to our topic-specific instruction materials, we also include games, conditioning activities appropriate for the camp topics, time for students to eat their packed lunch, and field trips like Wild Wednesdays and Science Thursdays.

Our standard camps include students ages 7yrs through adults. However, to be inclusive of all the students that can join our regular classes, we organize a half-day camp in the morning for children of ages 4–6 years and a half-day camp in the afternoon for Para-Athletes. Para-Athletes are welcome to participate in a full-day camp if they wish to do so. With so many age groups and fitness levels, we work to maintain the integrity of our material and provide personalized instruction according to each student's unique needs and strengths.

Let Your Children Become Leaders This Summer!

Learning happens best when people are having fun too! At Legacy Taekwondo of Northern Kentucky, we'll help your child develop leadership skills, self-confidence, focus, and self-defense, all while having fun during the summer break.

Our students often go on to become future leaders in their workplaces and communities. Martial arts summer camp teaches children to build character just like parents strive to teach at home.

  • Leadership Camp - June 3-7

This Camp is designed as a learning experience for students who are black belts or who will be eligible to test for their black belts in the near future after camp completes. It is also an opportunity for our young leaders to bond and create lasting relationships that will extend beyond the Dojang walls for years to come.

Our goal as Master Instructors leading this camp is to impart skills to our young leaders and black belts new to teaching that have taken us years to develop. These skills can of course be used directly in the TKD school, but will span well beyond teaching any TKD class when applied in a broader setting. We want to help them improve specific skills that they feel are weak, for them to build confidence on the floor. We will also address goal setting, time management, teaching or addressing different levels of learners or listeners, as well as putting their best foot forward in new situations and with new people.

Students will need to bring, shoes for outdoor play, lunch, snacks, water or refillable water bottles, sun block. If a field trip to the park is scheduled, then there may be the option to get a $1 lunch at the park.

Students should think in advance about skills they want to improve as a leader or instructor, as well as goals they have for themselves related to martial arts.
