Para-Athlete Classes

At Legacy TaeKwonDo of Northern Kentucky, we offer para-athlete classes for students with physical impairments, such as vision and hearing impairments, as well as compromised or amputated limbs.

Our instructors are capable and have over 30 years of experience in working with students of all types of physical impairments, including those who need assistance tools like wheelchairs, braces, etc.

The classes are 45 minutes long to account for the increased fatigue some students experience while working out with impairments. We work to maintain the integrity of our material while offering personalized care for each student's unique needs and strengths. Some of our Para-Athletes have developed the skills and endurance to feel empowered to participate in our standard or special focus classes, like weapons or competition training.

Many of our Para-Athletes are trained to compete in tournaments that include Para-Athlete divisions. However, competition is never a requirement for any athlete.
