How We Are Keeping You Safe
- All classes will now have a digital option for students to participate at home.
- We unfortunately are not supposed to have people congregate in the lobby to watch classes. We offer a digital zoom link and password to be used to view classes from your car as well.
- The floor is now set up in a checkerboard fashion with each student having a 2x2 square of their own (each 2x2 square is 6.5'), and then 2x2 squares to each side of them that will be unoccupied. (Imagine them lined up like checker pieces, with every other square skipped.) With the exception of the squares to their corners, each student will have more space between them and other students than before. We will be able to fit at least 12 students on the floor and still keep appropriate distancing.
- There are some classes on the schedule that are capped at 8 students. These are specifically for families who might want a smaller class with more space for their students.
- To prevent students bottlenecking in the entryway, we will be bringing students into their squares, and then temperature testing them. ALL STUDENTS MUST ENTER THE BUILDING WITH A MASK ON, AND KEEP IT ON TILL THEY HAVE BEEN TEMP TESTED AND CLEARED.
- Instructors will be wearing masks at all times.
- Students participating in class are not required to wear masks while participating in physical activity. They will still be required to wear them when entering, when leaving, and if they need to use the restroom or move about the room for tissues or any other reason.
- We are still asking students to bring their own water with a lid that seals on so that it will not spill. We recommend shoes that can be slipped on and off easily in order to transition quickly between classes.
- We will ask students to wait outside, until the class prior to them is released, and they are invited in. This will also prevent bottle necking while one class leaves and another enters.
- Finally, we had an overwhelming number of families the support the idea of the students helping clean the floors when they are done. So, to facilitate quick clean up, at the end of class, the students will be given necessary supplies to clean their own squares, and any equipment they have touched. Legacy TKD uses a natural disinfectant, certified by the FDA to kill Coronavirus, as well as many other viruses and bacteria. We do not use any bleach or ammonia based products. However, any family who has questions or is not comfortable with this request. Please let us know via email (legacytaekwondonky@gmail.com) and we are happy to answer questions / concerns and will plan accordingly if the participating student cannot clean his / her own space. We also understand that younger children may need assistance with this responsibility, and an instructor can help guarantee that their spaces are properly disinfected for the next group.
